Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Covid-19. Boris Johnson  remains symptom free but is following the instructions after being contacted by NHS Track and Trace.

Downing Street have confirmed that the  UK Government  leader will continue working whilst in quarantine at home. Johnson was admitted to intensive care in April after catching the bug but went on to make a full recovery.

It comes as a huge new testing centre is to open in Scotland as the  UK Government  steps up the fight against  coronavirus.

The megalab will create around 1,800 new jobs and will be able to process 300,000 test results a day when it opens early next year, with a location still to be confirmed.
