Every day the NHS gives an update on virus-related deaths recorded by hospital trusts in England in the previous 24 hour period.

These are cases where someone has died within 28 days of a positive test or where Covid-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.

Today, Monday, April 12, no new deaths were announced by trusts in our region. The number of people who have died in Greater Manchester hospitals since the start of the pandemic stands at 5,854.
