No new coronavirus deaths were reported at Royal Bolton Hospital for the first time in four weeks. An update on Sunday from NHS England revealed that the total number of deaths at the hospital has stayed the same.

So far, 169 people have died at Royal Bolton from Covid-19. Yesterday was the first time the hospital had reported no new deaths in more than a month as NHS staff battled to treat a wave of patients infected with coronavirus.

However, the latest update does not mean that no Covid-19 patients have died in the last 24 hours. There can be a delay of up to several days before a death is announced as hospitals have to process the information before notifying NHS England.
