Representatives of the hospitality sector will meet senior Government officials this afternoon regarding the planned resumption of indoor hospitality, following a Cabinet decision last night.
Opposition politicians are also due to be briefed, this morning, about the policy, which will allow adults who are either fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 within the past six months, to go inside a restaurant or a bar with their children.
The meetings will involve officials, not ministers. Speaking last night after the virtual Cabinet meeting, the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said that the coalition's intention was to re-start indoor hospitality but "safely, sustainably and in line with public health advice".
