In the clip, Olly was supposed to lower his girlfriend Amelia Tank, 27, over a swimming pool and then pull her back up again without touching the water.

Instead, the X Factor hunk appears to drop his beau into the chilly water. "I think I’m losing my..... #girlfriend #shelovesme #shelovesmeNOT," he captioned the video.

He was later forced to defend the mishap, writing on social media: "Oops sorry babe you asked me to do the challenge." His doting bodybuilder girlfriend quickly responded in the comments below the video.
