As school children slowly start returning to the classroom following the coronavirus lockdown, parents are being urged to take additional care when washing their uniforms.
Whilst a number of schools have implemented a relaxed dress code, others are asking students to leave blazers, ties and other non-essential items that are not as easily washed at home.
Studies found that coronavirus can live on surfaces like clothing or towels for up to 72 hours, so parents are being asked to wash any clothes that kids have worn to school daily.
