Horrific photos show a cat’s charred body after being skewered, burned and left on top of a disposable barbecue. The pet was found near a strip of shops in an alleyway off Beckett Road, Wheatley, in Doncaster, on Thursday morning, with the RSPCA appealing for information.
Tamsin Drysdale, an inspector for the charitable organisation, said: “The person who found the cat said she had a skewer through her body and was laying on the top of a disposable barbecue. “She was so badly burned it isn’t possible to be sure what colour her fur was. “We don’t know whether this happened while the cat was alive or dead, but I suspect, and very much hope, it was the latter." Ms Drysdale said the animal, a female, was microchipped - though there was no name
