Phil Spector has died at the age of 81 of coronavirus. Spector was a music producer that was known for creating The Wall Of Sound, which was used by 60s bands like The Ronettes and The Crystals.

In 2009 he was sent to prison for the 2003 murder of Lana Clarkson and was sentenced to 19 years. He had caught coronavirus in prison four weeks ago and died after being transferred to hospital this week, according to TMZ.

The site reports that Spector was diagnosed with Covid four weeks ago and went to the hospital but recovered well enough to return to prison.

But he reportedly had trouble breathing and was rushed back to the hospital where he died. Spector began his career while he was still in school, producing the hit song To Know Him is To
