For those lucky enough to have visited far flung countries around the world, it's fair to say that the plane journeys in economy don't make the highlight reel.

Cramped into a seat and jostling for elbow space, any attempts at sleep are fraught and many conclude it's a better use of time to watch another film instead.

But this could be about to change thanks to a smart design which sees two tiers of seating across a plane. This allows all passengers to enjoy a seat bed they can lie flat on, which makes for a much more relaxed trip.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
