RADNOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Police across the country are warning parents about the dangers of the Orbeez Challenge as they see a rise in incidents involving the gel pellets and toy guns. In Pennsylvania, four teenagers are in trouble after firing a gel pellet gun at a group of students outside of a middle school. RELATED: Police warn some social media 'challenges' can lead to hackers gaining personal informationLaw Enforcement in Florida is also warning residents about the challenge after a Volusia County woman was struck in the arm walking with her child and three people were hit by pellets in Deltona. Police are warning parents and schools about the dangers of the Orbeez Challenge.  According to police, the Orbeez Challenge is a viral social media trend that encourages people to shoot Orbeez water beads and gel pellets from air guns. Packs of the popular children's toy can come with up to 500 Orbeez and 1500 Orbeez seeds, according to the manufacturer. The gel beads are typically created with water, but many conducting the challenge have begun freezing the beads to intensify their effects. Chris Flanagan, the Superintendent of Police in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, said the challenge is concerning because the toy guns being used are often altered to look like real weapons. When the challenge was done outside of Radnor Middle School, students and staff began running and the school restricted activity in the area, according to Flanagan. "These challenges seem like they are funny," he says.

A Calgary man is raising concerns about the safety of a stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway near Golden, B.C. His daughter-in-law was killed there by falling rock and his daughter and grandchildren narrowly avoided injury.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - Police in Camden County have located a teenager with autism who went missing over the weekend. Police say the 16-year-old was reported missing after last being seen on Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m. The teen was seen at his residence on the 3700 block of Garfield Avenue. Later that day, he was seen on surveillance video at 4:00 p.m.

Brandon Norman, 29, was arrested and charged after allegedly attacking a man who he was involved in a minor crash with. NEW CASTLE, Del. - Police have arrested a man accused of attacking a driver and threatening the car's passengers in New Castle, Delaware, on Sunday night, according to Delaware State Police. Authorities say 29-year-old Brandon Norman of Bear, Delaware, was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault, aggravated menacing, terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of a child and numerous traffic violations. According to police, troopers responded to the intersection of Springfield Boulevard at 5:26 p.m.

Altajier Kyell Robinson (Northampton County District Attorney's Office)  EASTON, Pa. - Authorities in Northampton County have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the shooting deaths of two teens on Monday, March 14. The Northampton County District Attorney says Altajier Kyell Robinson turned himself in on Sunday afternoon. He was wanted in connection with the deaths of 17-year-old D’Andre Snipes and 18-year-old Kavan Figueroa. Around 4 p.m. Monday, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Washington Street for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and found Snipes and Figueroa in the front seat of a white BMW SUV suffering from gunshot wounds.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say they are searching for three teenage suspects an attempted robbery and double shooting in South Philadelphia Sunday morning. The incident occurred in an alleyway behind several homes on the 2700 block of South Randolph Street around 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say three men in their 20s were walking in the alley when they were approached by three teenage boys who were demanding money. A brief struggle ensued and one of the suspects fired multiple shots, striking two of the older male victims.

PHILADELPHIA - Two Pennsylvania State Troopers were among three people killed in a crash along I-95 in Philadelphia early Monday morning, officials have confirmed to FOX 29.The crash happened around 1 a.m. in the sorthbound lanes near the Broad Street exit.Authorities say two Pennsylvania State Troopers and a civilian were both killed in the crash.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. - Four teenagers were arrested nearly a month after they allegedly pushed another teen into traffic, causing him to be struck by a car and critically injured, according to Hemet Police. 15-year-old Angel Botello Hernandez was riding his skateboard on February 28 near the intersection of Stetson Avenue and Seven Hills Drive in Hemet. According to police, a group of teens met him at the corner and an altercation occurred, resulting in Hernandez being pushed into traffic and hit by a moving Tesla. WILLINGBORO, N.J. - Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina is asking for the public's help identifying the driver who fatally struck a man in Willingboro on Friday. According to Coffina's office, a man in his 30s was killed just after 2 a.m. on Garfield Drive near Eastbrook Lane. The man, whose name has not yet been released, was found dead a short time later, the prosecutor's office says. According to authorities, the man died from "massive internal injuries." "This case is being actively investigated, and we are appealing to anyone who has relevant information to contact us immediately," Coffina said.

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking into two separate double shootings that sent four men to the hospital. According to police, the first shooting happened at 10:08 p.m. on Saturday in the area of K and Tioga Streets. Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting on Tioga Street that sent 2 men to the hospital.  Police say officers with the 24th district found a 20-year-old man who was shot in the hand.

NORFOLK, Va. - A Virginia newspaper reporter was one of two people killed during a shooting early Saturday outside a restaurant and bar, authorities said.Sierra Jenkins, 25, who covered education and schools for The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after the shooting outside Chicho’s Pizza Backstage, according to officials.Norfolk police detectives were investigating the shooting, which also resulted in injuries to three others. Jenkins was caught in the crossfire as she was leaving the bar, restaurant manager Rory Schindel told the newspaper.

PHILADELPHIA - Two people were injured after a gunman opened fire into a group of people in North Philadelphia, according to authorities. Police say the incident happened early Saturday morning around 1:45 a.m. Officers with the 22nd district responded to a report of a shooting on the 1800 block of W. Diamond Street, according to police. Officers met a group of pedestrians who alerted them that two people were shot, authorities say. According to police, a 19-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man suffered from gunshot wounds. Both say they were standing on the street when a car, possibly orange or red in color, stopped in the street and let out a passenger, authorities say. Police say the victims told investigators the passenger who exited the car had a gun and began firing into the crowd of people standing at the location. The suspect got back into the car before it drove westbound on Diamond Street, according to investigators. Both injured victims were transported to the hospital where the woman, who was shot in the foot, is in stable condition.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say two teenage girls were shot when they tried to drive away from a group of young men Friday night in North Philadelphia. Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker told reporters that four teenage girls between ages of 16 and 17 were driving in a car near the intersection of Cecil B. Moore Avenue and North Broad Street around 10 p.m. As they slowly drove down the street, Walker said the girls became engaged in a conversation with a group of young men standing on the corner.

RADNOR, Pa. - Authorities in Pennsylvania say a new social media challenge that involves a gel pellet gun lead to a police response at a school and resulted in four teens being arrested. In a letter to families, the Radnor Township School District said 25 students were working outside Radnor Middle School last week when a car pulled up and fired a gel pellets towards the school. Three students and a faculty member were hit, but did not require medical treatment. Officers from the Radnor Township Police Department later arrested four teens who they say were in a car capture on surveillance video that fired the gel gun. Authorities are warning of the dangers of the Orbeez Challenge that involves shooting a gel pellet gun at unsuspecting people. Police say the attack was part of the "Orbeez Challenge," a new TikTok challenge that encourages users to sneak attack unsuspecting people with a gel pellet gun. "And that they have seen this on a TikTok type of source where it was a challenge and others go video yourself doing that or have some fun with that very unfortunately that was a very bad decision," Radnor Police Superintendent Christopher Flanagan said. According to officials, the teens arrested in the attack have been charged with possessing instruments of a crime, disorderly conduct, harassment and recklessly endangerment.Police in cities throughout the U.S.

ATLANTA - A young woman was who killed in an Atlanta shooting after a fight over a bowling ball late Thursday evening has been identified as the Lakevia Jackson who has a son with well-known rapper Young Thug.Jackson's family called the shooting senseless and said they are having a hard time coming to grips with her death during an outing that was meant to be a celebration of life. "She was celebrating a birthday at the bowling alley with a very close family friend," said mother Sherina Jackson.LaKevia Jackson with friends (Family photo)The 31-year-old mother was at out at the Metro Fun Center in a shopping center located 1900 block of Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A Florida bridge tender has been arrested for manslaughter, one month after a 79-year-old woman fell to her death from a drawbridge that began rising while she was still walking on it.West Palm Beach Police said they arrested 43-year-old Artissua Lafay Paulk at her home Thursday afternoon with the assistance of US Marshals, after obtaining an arrest warrant two days earlier, which said surveillance video and deleted text messages between Paulk and her supervisor showed she lied in her statement to police.Paulk's arrest stems from the Feb. 6 incident, where 79-year-old grandmother Carol Wright fell to her death from the Royal Park Bridge.Wright was not identified by authorities due to Marsy's Law, but her identity was released by Attorney Lance Ivey, who represents Wright's family, WPTV reports.RELATED: Florida drawbridge death: 79-year-old victim's family attorney says bridge tender was 'negligent'According to Ivey, Wright had taken her bicycle for a ride to a book shop in Palm Beach and was returning home when she began crossing the bridge."She legally and lawfully gets on the bridge.

HARRISBURG - A former Pennsylvania attorney general who served eight months in jail for leaking grand jury material and lying about it was charged Thursday with drunken driving after a weekend crash in Scranton.Police said Kathleen Kane, 55, told officers she was a designated driver, but surveillance video showed Kane herself had been drinking alcohol at a Scranton restaurant shortly before the crash, according to an affidavit.Kane had watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred her words — police said she had trouble saying the word "designated" — and failed a field sobriety test, the documents said.Kane, who was also charged with careless driving, was issued a summons and is due in court April 21. She did not respond to a message seeking comment.
