Philadelphia Police Cruiser PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking into several violent incidents that left at least six people injured Friday night and Saturday morning. According to Philadelphia police, officers with the 25th District responded to the 1200 block of West Silver Street around 9:54 p.m. A 26-year-old man was found inside a residence on the 2700 block of North 11th Street with multiple gunshot wounds, police say. He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he is in stable condition, according to officials. At 10:44 p.m., officers responded to the 7900 block of Roosevelt Boulevard and found a 28-year-old with a graze wound to the chest, authorities say. Officials say, the shooting incident happened on the 2600 block of Ryan Avenue and the victim is in stable condition at Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital. At 12:30 a.m., a shooting victim flagged down police on the 3600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, according to police. Authorities say the shooting happened near Harbison Avenue and Comly Street and the man is at Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. One hour later, officers with the 16th district responded to a call for a shooting victim in a vehicle at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, police say. According to police, the shooting happened on the 5100 block of Haverford Avenue and a 25-year-old man was shot in the thigh. He is in stable condition, police say. ___MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOfficials say a 40-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a car on the 2300 block of North 22nd Street around 1:33 a.m. According to authorities, a person was driving southbound on 22nd Street when it veered

Talal Aridi, 38 GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Police in Gloucester Township, New Jersey say a child’s awareness at the bus stop helped lead to the arrest of a Megan’s Law registrant who was allegedly taking photos of a teenage girl. On March 22, around 3:30 p.m., Gloucester Township police responded to the are of Pine Glen Drive and Jarvis Road in Sicklerville for a report of a suspicious person taking photos of the teen. Police say Talal Aridi, 38, was taking photos of the girl as she walked to the bus stop when another girl spotted him. That girl then alerted an adult who was at the bus stop. The adult processed to confront Aridi and took photos of his vehicle and license plate before contacting police. MORE HEADLINES: Investigators soon learned that the vehicle was registered to Talal Aridi, who is a Megan’s Law registrant following an attempted luring case from 2019.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police have released video they say shows the moment a suspect carjacked a driver at gunpoint earlier this week. The incident occurred near Torresdale and Cottman avenues around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the driver, who was working for a private taxi company, had picked up the suspect at Jackson and Bleigh Street. The suspect entered the car and paid his fare.As the car approached Torresdale and Cottman, video from inside the cab shows the suspect producing a black handgun with an extended magazine.

(Credit: Lorain Police Department) LORAIN, Ohio - Authorities in Ohio warned the public about recently seized pills made of fentanyl and cocaine but disguised to look like Tylenol or other over-the-counter medication.Police in Lorain, a city located about 30 minutes west of Cleveland, shared a photo on Tuesday of a seized pill pressed with what appears to look like the word "Tylenol" but was determined to be fentanyl."We would like to advise the public to always be cautious when handling medication, even if it appears to be over-the-counter medication," the Lorain Police Department wrote on Facebook. The police department said other pills seized were disguised to look like Metoprolol — a non-controlled blood-pressure medication — but were later determined to be cocaine.Lorain police told local news station FOX 8 that the drugs were discovered during two narcotics investigations over the past couple of months, and investigators are now trying to determine how widespread the problem may be in the area. "The concerning thing is that everything about these pills did, in fact, look to be genuine and certainly at first glance, especially if you were to encounter them within a pill bottle that was marked with the blood pressure medication or as Tylenol," Lt.

PHILADELPHIA - Residents fed up with gun violence in their neighborhoods sat down with city officials Tuesday night in North Philadelphia to share ideas on what could save lives as the gun violence crisis worsens. "If we don’t continue to stay on track and recognize what are the issues that are kind of the root causes to the violence that we are seeing, we are never going to come out of this," Senior Director of Criminal Justice and Public Safety Erica Atwood said. Tuesday's meeting was the third stop on a citywide listening tour that supports the City’s Roadmap to Safer Communities initiative that supports a comprehensive gun violence reduction plan. North Philadelphia in particular has dealt with a number of recent shootings, including a 15-year-old boy who police say opened fire on a car full of girls and was later linked to two other shootings involving teens as young as 14. Temple University's police union recently admitted that it's operating at 60% of its normal workforce and officers have worked at least 42 overtime shifts since last summer. The department believes the staffing crisis is impacting the safety of Temple's campus. The union says it's operating at 60% of its typical workforce and each officer has worked about 42 overtime shifts since last July.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - A brazen "smash-and-grab" robbery is under investigation in Beverly Hills.The robbery occurred at about 2 p.m. Tuesday at Luxury Jewels of Beverly Hills in the area of South Beverly Drive and Charleville Boulevard, near Reeves Park. The suspects shattered the front windows with sticks or sledgehammers and fled the scene with several items from the store, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.A video shared by Street People of Beverly Hills showed a group of suspects targeting a jewelry store in the area.
