A man has been charged after allegedly biting a female police officer and punching another while they tried to explain the coronavirus lockdown rules.
Christopher Hill, 29, allegedly lashed out at the cops when they were called to a street disturbance in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, on Thursday.
The officers had been attempting to explain to the man that he should follow government guidelines around Covid-19 about not visiting other people's homes.
But Hill then reportedly punched one officer and badly bit a 21-year-old PC on the arm, forcing her to be treated in hospital.
