A policewoman was bit and kicked after she tried to break up a house party, Manchester Evening News reports. Officers were called to reports of a large social gathering at a property on Sherbourne Court, Prestwich, near Manchester.

The force discovered that members of different households were present and had flouted coronavirus lockdown rules to attend.

A female cop then asked those who didn’t live at the party to leave, and two partygoers attacked the officer. Greater Manchester Police said the officer, who has not been named, was kicked and bitten on the hand while on duty.
