Politician who went topless during Zoom video call issues powerful statement

A politician who accidentally changed on a Zoom meeting has released a strident statement explaining that she is not embarrassed by her body.

Mexican senator Martha Lucia Micher was on a the video call with members of the National Regeneration Movement political party, the Bank of Mexico and journalists on May 29.

As they discussed the impact the coronavirus was having on the country, the 66-year-old politician began to remove her clothes, The Daily Star reported.

Ms Micher did not realise that her webcam was still running, prompting screenshots of the mishap to circulate on social media.
