The by-election to fill Coatbridge’s MP former seat on North Lanarkshire Council is being delayed for at least six months. A poll had been due to take place in the Thorniewood ward on May 7 to replace Steven Bonnar, who officially stood down from the local authority in February following his Westminster election success at Christmas.
