Premier League set to return with new television plan to screen more live games

Almost all of the remaining 200 matches in the Premier League and Championship could reportedly be screened live to fans in the UK as football seeks to emerge from the coronavirus crisis.

The Times claim that television schedulers and broadcasting partners are working hard to ensure that as many matches as possible are given individual kick-off times, meaning that fans can watch them without any clashes.

With games all taking place behind closed doors, the government are keen to get the Premier League up and running and hope to approve the division's Project Restart proposal after the next review of lockdown restrictions on Sunday.
