Premier League 'to cancel rest of season' due to coronavirus, says Udinese's Pierpaolo Marino

The Premier League will announce soon that the season has been cancelled due to coronavirus, just like in Belgium. That is according to Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino, who claims a statement will be released imminently declaring the news.

Football all around the world has been brought to a standstill as the COV-19 pandemic has left most countries in lockdown. No Premier League football has been played for over a month and is not likely to be played until at least the start of July.

With Liverpool 25 points clear at the top of the table and with several other teams still having lost to play for, declaring the season null and void would be unthinkable.
