A primary school has been forced to close temporarily close after a confirmed case of coronavirus. Milton St John's CE Primary School, in Mossley, Tameside, is shut while a risk assessment is being carried out to identify which pupils and staff now need to self-isolate.
Like most schools in the UK, the primary had been kept open for the children of key workers and those deemed vulnerable. It has not been revealed whether it was a child or staff member who tested positive for the virus, but one villager told the Manchester Evening News that people living in the area need to be taking social distancing measures more seriously.
