A man suspected of carrying out the Reading terror attack is understood to have left prison just weeks earlier. Khairi Saadallah is believed to have been freed from HMP Bullingdon in Oxfordshire 16 days before the deadly attack in Forbury Gardens on Saturday.
The 25-year-old is being held by counter-terror police after three died and more were wounded in the stabbing in the public park.
The Libyan national, who moved to the UK as a refugee, is being quizzed by police, who are treating the incident as a terror attack.
He is alleged to have knifed twelve people in the attack in the broad daylight attack in the gardens in Reading's town centre.
