New Delhi: The global market for refurbished smartphones declined 1 per cent (year-on-year) in 2019, reaching just over 137 million units, according to a new report.
The refurbished smartphone market in India, however, grew a healthy 9 per cent last year. The market grew somewhat in the fourth quarter as Apple upgrades remained strong but a 1 per cent increase during the second half of the year was not able to offset the decline in the first half, said latest research from Counterpoint's 'Refurbished Smartphone Tracker'."This is the first time in the last four years that the refurbished market has declined for the full year.
