Budget airline Ryanair has said it expects to cut as many as 3,000 jobs as a result of the coronoavirus pandemic. The airline added that it will be more than a year before things get back to normal, with it not expecting passenger numbers to be at 2019 levels "until summer 2022 at the earliest". "When scheduled flights return in Europe, sometime in July, Ryanair believes it will take some time for passenger volumes to return," it said in a statement. "Consumer confidence will be impacted by public health restrictions, such as temperature checks at airports and face coverings for passengers and staff on board aircraft."
