A primary school of 200 pupils has closed for a deep clean after a key worker's child tested positive for coronavirus. Any staff members or kids who came into contact with the child at Coppice Farm Primary School in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, have been told to isolate for 14 days.
The drastic action was taken on Thursday, with an email informing parents the decision was made with a "very heavy heart", reports Nottinghamshire Live.
Pupils at the school are aged between five and 11. Headteacher Jason Brewster has said the school will be re-opened for groups not connected to the infected child on Monday.
The email to parents read: "We assured you that in the instance of a positive test within our school we would inform you. "Thus it is with
