A school's outdoor learning area has been destroyed after a fire which is believed to have been started by 'vandals'. Teachers were horrified to discover the woodland play area at Holly Mount RC Primary had been trashed as were risking their lives to look after children of key workers at school amid the coronavirus outbreak.
On Wednesday, a neighbour of the school alerted staff to a fire at the site in the woods and tried to put out the flames. Teachers found that the woodland benches had been burned and the walls of the play area had been ripped down in the chaos.
