Scots Covid nurse has car stolen from hospital car park during 12-hour ICU shift

Covid ward. Amanda Narsapur was tending to coronavirus patients in Hairmyres Hospital when the callous thieves pinched her Ford Fiesta ST on Wednesday February 3.

The lifesaving theatre recovery nurse finished up a difficult shift and was desperate to get to home when she discovered her car had been taken.

Police were alerted to the theft around 8.20pm and have since launched a probe into the incident.Amanda told the Record: "I'm a theatre recovery nurse but during the pandemic I've been helping out in ICU so I spent yesterday doing a full 12-and-a-half hour shift in the intensive care unit."When I finished up I saw that my car had been stolen."It's the last thing you need after finishing a shift.
