Jean Johansson has opened up about being diagnosed with presbyopia, a condition that diminishes the ability to focus on close objects.
The A Place In The Sun presenter, 42, had brushed aside her failing eyesight, before the realisation hit following an eye exam.
Reflecting on the impact of wearing glasses, the Scottish TV host declared: "I can honestly say it's been life-changing."She revealed her refusal in accepting the need for glasses stemmed from not wanting to acknowledge getting older.
However, Jean is now fully adjusted to her specs, having seen the benefits it has when reading scripts at work or scrolling on her phone. In her Sunday Mail piece, reported by the Mirror, she humorously shared: "I'm [also] no longer stealing my mum's glasses to read a menu in a restaurant." After recognising the reason behind her vision issues, Jean urges anyone facing similar challenges to seek an eye test.
