Scottish Government announces seven deaths and 6,029 Covid cases in last 24 hours

Scottish Government has confirmed that seven people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, The latest figures for Scotland showed that 6,029 new cases had also been identified overnight.It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 8,118.There are currently 585 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 54 being treated in intensive care.So far 4,106,408 people have received their first vaccination with 3,680,761 having a second jab.The figures come as eight of the 20 Covid-19 hotspots in Europe are in Scotland, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
