Scottish Government confirms 2,134 cases and no new Covid deaths in last 24 hours

coronavirus deaths overnight but a further 2,134 new positive cases. The latest figures were announced this afternoon as the virus continues to spread across the country.However, a delay at the Glasgow lighthouse lab is causing today's figures to be lower than predicted.

469 people are currently in hospital with 40 requiring intensive care as they battle the virus. A total of 316,037 Scots have now caught coronavirus since the start of the pandemic with 7,757 deaths recorded.3,934,408 people have now had their first dose of the vaccine while 2,893,271 have had their second.It comes as twelve countries could be added to the quarantine free travel list later this week as cases begin to stabilise across Scotland.
