A charity has raised fears the severity of domestic abuse will increase during lockdown. Scottish Women's Aid also said the risk will continue to worsen the longer the lockdown is in place as victims will be at home with their abuser without access to their usual support networks.

The group said its helplines are open 24/7 during the pandemic, while it also offers support via webchat and email, and its 36 services around Scotland remain open.
