Sort Your Life Out star Dilly Carter has shared how her mum's battles with mental health inspired her to keep a tidy home, which helped kickstart her career.
Dilly Carter is best known as a professional organiser and appeared on BBC's Sort Your Life Out - a show fronted by Stacey Solomon where she works with a team of experts to transform families homes with a "life-changing declutter".
Appearing on the ITV's Lorraine this week, Dilly opened up to host Lorraine Kelly and shared that her passion for decluttering stemmed from growing up in a "really chaotic household".
She admitted: "My mum and Dad were constantly working and the house was at the bottom of their priority list. My mum had mental health issues from when I was eleven years old, so that’s why the house got into a real disarray and it [just] got worse." Discussing her mum's mental health struggles, Dilly continued: "From the time I was eleven into my twenties, my mum’s mental health really declined.
