St Mirren have announced they will make use of the UK government's job retention scheme, including the vast majority of playing and non-playing staff.

With coronavirus halting the football season last month and starving clubs of much needed matchday funds, the Paisley club have decided to seek help in making ends meet.

The scheme has already been used by other Scottish clubs including Celtic and Rangers.
