Steven Gerrard has claimed that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is controlling games just as Manchester United legend Paul Scholes used to.
Henderson assumed the mantle of Reds skipper from Gerrard after the latter left the club in 2015 and he has continued to grow into the role after a difficult start.
The 29-year-old is now vital to Liverpool's success on the field and within the last twelve months he has led the Anfield club to Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup glory.
Henderson has made 34 appearances this season and led the Reds to within touching distance the Premier League trophy - after a 30-year wait for a league title - only for the season to be suspended amid the coronavirus outbreak.
