Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Susanna Reid compared Piers Morgan to Donald Trump after a rather embarrassing make-up fail was revealed to viewers. Barely 45 minutes into today’s episode of the ITV programme, Piers admitted that people had been pointing out he has “blending issues” with his foundation.

This has led to very visible contrast between his orange face and make-up free neck. The Good Morning Britain presenters have been doing their own faces up for the show since coronavirus social distancing measures came into place.

Piers said: “A lot of people are saying apparently I have blending issues with my make-up when I turn - here. "I don’t even know what that means other than clearly, this part of my head is orange, and this part is not.
