Judging by the way he talks about him, you'd think that President Donald Trump has nothing but contempt for ABC News chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl.
During his daily novel coronavirus task force briefing on Monday, Trump called Karl a "third-rate reporter" who "will never make it." That's not how he really feels about him though. "He constantly goes back, and he will viciously attack reporters and then treat reporters like they're his best friend," Karl says. "There's a Doctor Jekyll and Mr.
Hyde thing going on here. He's said very nice things about me." In his new book,Front Row at the Trump Show, Karl writes about covering Trump over the last 25 years, starting when he was a reporter for theNew York Post.
