Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid had to explain why she had a cough on today's show. The 49-year-old brunette bombshell returned to the ITV programme two weeks ago after self-isolating when one of her children had symptoms of coronavirus.

This morning she explained why she was coughing on the show a matter of days after her co-host Piers Morgan denied contracting the deadly virus.

During an interview with four of the nations key workers, Susanna had to pause and clear her throat several times. She quickly explained herself in a bid to avoid concerns about her cough amid the virus pandemic.
