Princess Sofia of Sweden has put herself on the frontline against the battle of coronavirus by becoming a volunteer in a hospital.The royal, 35, who is married to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, 40, attended a three-day medical course at Stockholm University to qualify as a healthcare assistant so that she can assist stretched staff.
Last week, Princess Sofia announced via her Instagram page that she was able to start work at a hospital immediately, which has so far killed 1,203 people in her home country.
As most of the world is placed under lockdown Sweden is one of few places that still have businesses like restaurants and schools still open.
