A top royal family member has started work at a hospital to help her country’s fight against the coronavirus. Princess Sofia of Sweden, 35, has turned from royal to healthcare assistant after starting her new role last week.
The royal, who is married to Prince Carl Philip, 40, took a three-day medical course at Sophiahemmet University College in Stockholm.
She is now qualified to assist with healthcare work in Sweden’s fight against the disease which has infected 14,385 and killed 1,540.
Pictures show her scrubbed up posing with other staff members at the Sophiahemmet hospital – who are all clearly maintaining social distancing.
