KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri family can blame a house fire on their dog after a home surveillance video captured the canine culprit. Firefighters with Southern Platte Fire Protection District said the fire broke out at the Parkville home Friday around 8:40 a.m.The video showed the dog reaching up and touching the top of a stove.Fire officials said the dog activated the controls and turned on a burner. SANTA ANA, Calif. - Incarcerated lawyer Michael Avenatti says he plans to plead guilty to charges in a federal court case in Southern California accusing him of cheating clients out of millions of dollars.Avenatti didn’t specify which charges he wants to plead to in a brief court filing Sunday. MESA, Ariz. - Police made a surprising discovery during a DUI investigation in Mesa.Mesa Police say officers found 37-year-old Brandon Denney asleep in his car just before 11:30 p.m. on June 5 near Signal Butte and Southern Avenue, with a pill bottle in his hand.Officers then woke up Denney to conduct field sobriety tests.During their investigation, officers noticed a Gila monster poking its head out of a box inside the car."Denney said he had run the Gila Monster over with his vehicle and decided to pick it up after seeing it was injured," police said in a news release.

Hutchinson was pronounced dead on the scene as authorities say medical personnel were unable to revive him.

FOX NEWS - A massive great white shark stalking the East Coast was spotted near the Carolinas on Monday after earlier being tracked off the coast of New Jersey, according to researchers.Ironbound, the 12-foot, 4-inch shark weighing nearly 1,000 pounds, made headlines after migrating from the Carolinas up the coast to New Jersey late last month.As of Monday, it appears the great white returned to the Carolinas, according to OCEARCH shark researchers who keep track of sharks’ migratory patterns via a tag tracking system.Researchers believe a white shark mating site is located off the Carolinas, the Boston Herald reported.OCEARCH Chief Scientist Robert Hueter told the outlet last week that Ironbound may have left the site early ahead of the other sharks, adding that is unclear what sparked the migration.Despite Ironbound’s apparent return to southern waters, New Jersey may not have seen the last of the great white. Hueter said that the sharks will usually start migrating to northern waters in mid-to-late May and arrive in those areas beginning in June.Ironbound is considered the "leader of the pack," according to Hueter, who described the apex predator as "formidable" and "not the prettiest animal."Ironbound was first tagged in October 2019 near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

The date coincides with Pete's late grandmother and mother's birthday. "Megan Thee Stallion has an extraordinary entertainment career, but we wanted to honor her for what she does offstage to lift people's lives in underserved communities," Mayor Turner said. "She assisted people after the 2021 winter storm, during the pandemic, and helped those struggling with homelessness.
