Police: 2 killed in head-on crash as car tried to pass truck in Kent County

FELTON, Del. - Delaware State Police say two people were killed in a head-on crash when one driver tried to pass a large pickup truck. Police say the crash happened on Irish Hill Road in the Felton area on Sunday night. An 18-year-old Milford man was driving west in a Toyota Corolla and when he tried to pass a large pickup truck, he pulled into the path of an eastbound Hyundai Accent. The drivers both tried to avoid a crash by going off the south side of the road, but police say they ultimately struck head-on. 2 charged in November threats to Central Bucks South High School, police say

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Authorities announced Monday that two more individuals have been charged in connection to bomb threats made to Central Bucks South High School in November. Officials from the Warrington Township Police Department say the bomb threats were submitted to the school through the Safe2Say program on November 16, 2021. Previously, a juvenile was arrested and charged in connection to the threat, which brings the number of total individuals charged to three. It is not known if these two individuals were also juveniles. Police say they do not believe there is anyone else involved in the planning or carrying out of the threats.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have arrested a suspect who is accused of intentionally hitting a Philadelphia father with his car a week ago in Port Richmond.According to FOX 29's Steve Keeley, 29-year-old Michael Colgan is accused of intentionally driving an SUV into 40-year-old Jason ‘Jay’ Panas on Jan. 28.Police responded to the 3200 block of Cedar Street after midnight and found Panas and another victim, 28, had both been struck by a white Cadillac SUV.Both victims were transported to Temple University Hospital where Panas later died and the other victim was listed in stable condition. PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia high school is tightening its security measures after officials said a gun was found in the aftermath of a lunchroom fight.In a letter to families, Imhotep Institute Charter High School said the altercation happened around dismissal time and involved several students. The school safety officer took the gun and contacted the Philadelphia Police Department's 35th District, according to officials.Imhotep Charter said this is the first time in its 24-year existence that a gun was found on campus. Mitchell Richtman, 31 (Mercer County Prosecutor's Office) EAST WINDSOR, N.J. - A New Jersey man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he was found to be in possession of child sexual abuse materials, as well as videos that allegedly showed him performing sexual acts on a horse. Mitchell B. Richtman, 31, is charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials and animal cruelty following the alleged discovery by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.Mercer County detectives opened an investigation into Richtman after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in the county was uploading illicit content involving minors. After an investigation, authorities identified Richtman as a suspect.
