EXTON, Pa. - Authorities in Chester County are investigating a theft incident that was caught on video inside of a local mall.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Macy's in Exton Square.Police described the incident as a 'grab and run,' saying that three suspects entered the store, grabbed merchandise, and quickly exited the store and mall.The suspects, 2 females and a male, exited the mall and left the scene in two vehicles that had missing or covered license plates. RELATED HEADLINES: Another customer, who followed the group all the way into the parking lot, caught the incident on cell phone video.

At the start of the video, one of the suspects can be seen emerging from behind a counter while carrying multiple bags.Police say they do not recommend anyone running after suspects in these 'grab and run' incidents.

PHILADELPHIA - Surveillance video obtained by FOX 29 shows the moment a woman working behind the counter at a Philadelphia store exchanged gunfire with two robbery suspects Tuesday morning. The incident occurred inside a store on the 5500 block of Torresdale Avenue in Philadelphia's Wissinoming neighborhood. Video shows two male suspects entering the store one at a time, with the first suspect walking up to the female clerk and another employee appearing to be holding a firearm. The second suspect appears to pull a firearm from his waistband as he enters the store.  A dog that was inside the store jumps on the first suspect as gunfire erupts, with the female clerk appearing to exchange gunfire with at least one of the suspects.The suspects then flee the store with the other employee appearing to give chase. A store clerk is in critical condition after police say she was involved in a shootout with two robbery suspects Tuesday morning that also left one of the suspects with multiple gunshot wounds.The clerk, a 32-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the hip and groin area.
