A teenager said she was left in tears after being 'sacked from her job at Asda on Christmas Eve'. Billie-Leigh Williams, 19, started working at the Tipton Superstore stacking shelves in October, Birmingham Live reports.

But she claims she was giving her marching orders on December 24 'without warning'. The teen's mum Kaye said her daughter 'had been offered a permanent contract of employment', though an Asda spokesperson said she was 'recruited on a short-term temporary contract'.
