Residents of Stoneybatter in Dublin are "bringing colour to their streets" by putting teddy bears in their front windows for children to spot while out walking around with parents.

Resident Ríona Cahill was inspired to put cuddly toys in her window after hearing about other teddy bear hunts happening around the world designed to entertain children during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ms Cahill first displayed her bear, Ted, in her window along with a note encouraging others in the area to join in the fun. "We put a note in my window saying, '#TeddyBearHunt', asking people to put a teddy bear in their windows as well so kids when they're walking by can actually count all the teddies they have seen," said Ms Cahill.
