Our visit to the Royal Bolton is part of that series of stories, each of which looks at a different aspect of our health service in these challenging times, the the struggles of patients and the sacrifices of staff.Lisa, from Deane, has been a cleaner at the Royal Bolton Hospital for the last two-and-a-half years and worked as a baker before that.Her role is to clean D4, one of Bolton's respiratory wards, which needs to be spotless and free of any dangerous viruses or bacteria that could threaten patients.Before Covid hit, many of the patients in D4 were regular visitors who struggled with.
