Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

He’s captured the hearts of the nation as he walks up and down his Bedfordshire garden. 99-year-old Captain Tom Moore, who turns 100 at the end of the month, initially planned to raise £1,000 for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic by walking 100 lengths of his garden before his birthday.

His story, and his positivity - remember things will get better he says - has gone right around the world, with the likes of Piers Morgan, Ben Stokes and Michael Ball championing his cause.

As a result he has now raised a staggering £13million for the NHS, and the donations are continuing to pour in. His Just Giving page has sometimes crashed as people clamour to donate.
