A month ago, no one knew who Captain Tom Moore was. But in just a few weeks the war hero has captured the hearts of the nation as he raises money for the NHS for his 100th birthday, which is today.

He’s having a train named after him, he’s number one in the charts with Michael Ball, he’s a Pride of Britain award winner, and has been promoted to honorary Colonel for the occasion.
