Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Captain Tom Moore had Good Morning Britain viewers crying today as he spoke out on his 100th birthday. The World War II veteran, who has just been promoted to Honorary Colonel by the queen, thanked the country for their support after raising £30million for the NHS in its battle against coronavirus.

Speaking to GMB hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid today, he said: "Thank you all very much. "This country is full of marvellous people and everyone is keeping their spirits up." He added: "It may take time, but we will do it in the end." His appearance and speech had fans emotional, judging by the online reaction.
