This should have been one of the biggest weeks of Dean Henderson's career. Over the previous seven days, the Manchester United goalkeeper would, in a world still oblivious to the coronavirus, have made his England debut, accelerating the debate over whether the time is coming for him to challenge David de Gea at Old Trafford.
Instead, Henderson will have to wait for international recognition, but it is only a matter of time. The 23-year-old is a goalkeeper heading to the top of the game, he could well be England's No.
1 by next summer and his ultimate aim is to become United's No. 1 as well. To do that he will have to get past de Gea, a four-time player of the year at Old Trafford who is closing in on 400 games for the club.
