At first glance, it has been a varied first season at Manchester United for Daniel James. The 22-year-old started with a bang, not only did he come off the bench to make his Premier League debut against Chelsea, but he also scored against them in United’s opening day 4-0 home win.
The youngster followed up this great start with a further two goals across his next three Premier League matches, justifying the excitement that surrounded him following an impressive season in the Championship with Swansea.
Yet, those efforts proved to be the only league goals he would score prior to football’s suspension for COVID-19 last month.
