FIFA's vice-president has proposed a radical change to the football calendar that could see matches played by calendar year.
Football has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, with leagues across the world shut down. In Europe most domestic top flights are yet to finish, with seasons running across two years.
While UEFA are keen for leagues to be completed, there is a growing realisation that more countries may have to follow the lead of France and the Netherlands by ending seasons early.
That decision could come for the Scottish Premiership, with an SPFL resolution providing the power to end the top flight based on points per game.
