The UK government has issued new advice around which stores are allowed to reopen as the lockdown is gradually eased. When it began 10 weeks ago, only essential shops were allowed to stay open.
This led to a huge demand on supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda. And discount stores such as Home Bargains and B&M have also been coping with high numbers of customers visiting each day, Liverpool Echo reports.
The lockdown meant all other stores, including the majority on high streets across the UK were ordered to close and have remained shut since March 23.
