Even as the world is struggling to contain the novel coronavirus pandemic, the King's family in Bhutan is celebrating a new royal baby.
Queen Jetsun Pema gave birth to a boy on March 19 in Lingkana Palace in Thimphu. The young prince's name has yet to be announced, and likely won't for several weeks. (Notably, the name of his older brother, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, wasn't shared publicly for more than two months after his birth.)“Her Majesty and the royal baby are in good health, and His Royal Highness The Gyalsey was delighted to meet his younger brother,” reads a statement from the new family of four.
